Development of a new compact gamma-ray spectrometer optimised for runaway electron measurements.
A. Dal Molin,L. Martinelli,M. Nocente,D. Rigamonti,A. Abba,L. Giacomelli,Giuseppe Gorini,Andrey Lvovskiy,A. Muraro,M. Tardocchi,Jet Contributors +10 more
TL;DR: A new compact gamma-ray spectrometer was developed in order to optimise the measurement of bremsstrahlung radiation emitted from runaway electrons in the MeV range using a cerium doped lutetium-yttrium oxyorthosilicate scintillator coupled to a silicon photomultiplier and is insensitive to magnetic fields.
Electronic readout characterisation of a new soft X-ray diagnostic for burning plasma
S. Cancelli,A. Muraro,E. Perelli Cippo,A. Abba,G. Corradi,Giovanni Grosso,G. Gorini,M.H. Kushoro,F. Murtas,O. Putignano,J. Scionti,D. Tagnani,M. Tardocchi,Gabriele Croci +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a GEM detector coupled with a dedicated electronic readout based on GEMINI chip is described, and the detector response has been studied comparing the well established PH method and the ToT method implemented in GEMinI.

Development of a Digitising Data Acquisition Pipeline for Next Generation Pulsed Muon Spectrometers
D.E. Pooley,A. Abba,Freddie A. Akeroyd,PJ Baker,A. Brooks,Stephen P. Cottrell,Francesco Caponio,C. Macwaters,L. Pastori,Nigel J. Rhodes,S. A. Richards,Erik Schooneveld,Dan Templeman +12 more
TL;DR: In this article , the Super-MuSR is developed to make efficient use of the increased source intensity, with each detector element optimized for counting at very high data rates, where analogue waveforms recorded from SiPMs are fully digitised and processed using digital signal processing (DSP) methods at either software or firmware level.

A programmable readout system for 3He/BF3 neutron detectors
TL;DR: CAEN SpA has developed a 19″ rack-mount solution for the readout of 3He/BF3 tubes and provides a DAQ software to remotely manage the system and acquire waveforms, energy, ToF spectra and perform position reconstruction.
CRYSTAL EYE: A new X and gamma ray all-sky-monitor for space missions
F. C. T. Barbato,A. Abba,A. Anastasio,G. C. Barbarino,A. Boiano,I. De Mitri,A. Di Giovanni,L. Ferrentino,F. Garufi,Roberto Guida,Stefano Papa,F. Renno,A. Vanzanella,L.B. Wu +13 more
TL;DR: In this article , the CRYSTAL EYE detector is proposed as a space-based X and gamma ray all-sky monitor to be active from 10 keV up to 30 MeV.
