Effects of ZnO nanoparticles and its bulk form on growth, antioxidant defense system and expression of oxidative stress related genes in Hordeum vulgare L.
Kirill Azarin,Alexander V. Usatov,Tatiana Minkina,A. A. Plotnikov,Alexandra Kasyanova,Aleksei Fedorenko,Nadezhda Duplii,Evgeniy Vechkanov,Vishnu D. Rajput,Saglara Mandzhieva,Saud Alamri +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a comparative analysis of physio-biochemical indices and transcriptional activity of oxidative stress genes in barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) seedlings after 7-days exposure to bulk- and nano-ZnO (300 and 2000 ǫ/L) was carried out.

Influence of SkQ1 on Expression of Nrf2 Gene, ARE-Controlled Genes of Antioxidant Enzymes and Their Activity in Rat Blood Leukocytes under Oxidative Stress.
V. V. Vnukov,O. I. Gutsenko,N. P. Milutina,I. V. Kornienko,A. A. Ananyan,A. O. Danilenko,S. B. Panina,A. A. Plotnikov,Maksim Makarenko +8 more
TL;DR: It is hypothesized that protective effect of SkQ1 in hyperoxia-induced oxidative stress can be realized via a direct antioxidant property and the stimulation of the Keap1/Nrf2 redox-sensitive signaling system.

Features of oxidative stress in the blood and the synovial fluid associated with knee osteoarthritis
V. V. Vnukov,S. B. Panina,Krolevets,N. P. Milutina,A. A. Ananyan,M. A. Zabrodin,A. A. Plotnikov +6 more
TL;DR: Redox-balance disturbance in the mononuclear cells leaded to oxidative stress development, which promoted lymphocytes apoptosis, which led to oxidativestress development in patients with knee osteoarthritis.

SkQ1 Controls CASP3 Gene Expression and Caspase-3-Like Activity in the Brain of Rats under Oxidative Stress.
S. B. Panina,O. I. Gutsenko,N. P. Milyutina,I. V. Kornienko,A. A. Ananyan,D. Yu. Gvaldin,A. A. Plotnikov,V. V. Vnukov +7 more
TL;DR: It is hypothesized that SkQ1 protects brain cells from the HBO-induced oxidative stress due to its antioxidant activity and stimulation of antiapoptotic mechanisms.

The association between NO-synthase gene polymorphisms and the development of post-traumatic knee osteoarthritis among residents of Rostov region
V. V. Vnukov,I. V. Krolevets,S. B. Panina,N. P. Milyutina,A. A. Ananyan,A. A. Plotnikov,M. A. Zabrodin +6 more
TL;DR: The results indicate the development of nitrosative stress in blood plasma and synovial fluid (SF) in PTOA, however, the nitrite/nitrate content in the SF was associated with the genotype of the‒786T > C locus of the eNOS gene; carrying the–786 С mutant allele leads to a decrease in the NOx− content.
