Boundary representation with lines and circular arcs using boundary split-and-merge method
Kwanghoon Sohn,Winser E. Alexander,A.A. Nilsson,Jung H. Kim,E.H. Park,C.A. Ntuen,Sung H. Yoon +6 more
- 07 Apr 1991
TL;DR: A method of finding critical (or corner) points and describing a two-dimensional closed boundary is presented, using a split-and-merge technique that makes interesting points explicit and achieves significant data compression.

Significant point detection and boundary representation with lines and circular arcs, using a scanning box method
Sung H. Yoon,J.H. Kim,E.H. Park,Celestine A. Ntuen,Kwanghoon Sohn,A.A. Nilsson,Y.H. Kim +6 more
- 07 Apr 1991
TL;DR: In this paper, a boundary curve is represented by circular arcs and lines to obtain explicit geometrical features, and corner points are detected by the symmetry property of the points, where the similarity of neighboring segments is checked in radius and center and the segments are merged when the difference is negligible.

A simulation study of an ATM service multiplexer in the North Carolina Information Highway
Tung Ouyang,A.A. Nilsson +1 more
- 11 Apr 1996
TL;DR: The results show how the delay and cell loss probability of the ATM-SMX are affected by the mixed traffic and two scheduling policies.
